Maybe not swimming, but sinking with style

Luke just finished his first session of swimming lessons. While he might believe that he can now swim, we think he more sinks with style. His record is swimming about 4 feet unassisted, but mostly he enjoys jumping into the water with rapture with no thought of how he will get out.

Luke took lessons from his great Aunt Kim, the same person who taught Rob how to swim 25 years ago. She is a firm teacher and really helped Luke understand how to hold his breath and swim with his head down.

The first lesson consisted of four screaming toddlers. Luckily, Luke's fears faded by day two and he has grown to love swimming, as long as he doesn't have to float on his back. He is especially fond of getting diving rings and swimming through the hoop in the deep end.

Dad took a late lunch one day to come and observe his little shark in action. Dad was impressed with Luke's gusto, jumping into the water without any fear.

Grandma Greer came to see Luke's mad swimming skills too. Along with being a great cheerleader, she also treated him to a bomb pop after his lesson was over.

I love this child, but he is one fearless and dangerous little guy. With his new found skills, we will definitely have to keep a better watch on him around water.
