I am finally caught up on our blog through leaving Grenada. I am home in Arizona and have been loving my time with family and friends, but Grenada will always have a piece of my heart. To our family, Grenada was a gift. It gave us a year that blessed and changed our lives. It provided the stage for growth, friendship, challenge and appreciation. Two years ago, when we found out we would be spending the next two years abroad, I was excited but hesitant as I did not know what lay ahead of us. Now in retrospect, I see our year in England and our year in Grenada as testaments of the love of my Heavenly Father and how personally he knows me and my family. He directed our lives to two different islands, timezones away from our home so that we would have experiences tailored to our family. He knew that we would grow individually and as a family as we set off into a type of wilderness, away from the comforts of home. Abroad we were able to find our footing as a family of four and create a home where ever we went. We met people that inspired us and have now become a permanent part of our lives. We know that many adventures still lay ahead of us but when we have grown old and look back upon our lives, we know our years in Newcastle and Grenada will always stand out as a very special time in our lives.
Our friend Brandon took the picture above. It captured a perfectly Grenadian moment. I am excited to print it out and have it be a part of our new home.
