Poo(h) Stick

I am grateful that there are so many great kids for Luke to play with here. Edward and Krew are some of his favorites. Edward is a year older than Luke, he is a great leader and makes sure no one gets left out, while Krew, who is a year younger than Luke, always keeps up with and goes along with the older boys crazy ideas. Here they are playing a game where you throw sticks off one side of the bridge and see whose comes out the other side first. This game apparently is called "Poo Stick" (*I have just been notified that this game is from Winnie the Pooh, so I guess it is "Pooh Stick", which is a lot less crass). I didn't believe it either and laughed hysterically upon hearing the name, but hey the boys sure liked playing it. After this the boys found a bunch of steps and had a great time climbing on them, sharing snacks and letting us snap a few pics. The play date ended with a stick fight. I am pretty sure Edward won because he found a six-foot long stick to counter the other boys little two-foot sticks (thanks Sara for stopping that trip to the ER by running and removing the large stick from play). I don't know why I get so much joy from seeing Luke playing with other children, as opposed to just beside them, but I just think it is so fun. I love to hear the silly ideas they come up with and how they interact with each other. Full of life and excitement, they are quick to forgive and always chasing after the next adventure.

So cute. It's so fun to see our little kids grow up! And we know what Pooh sticks is - it's from a Winnie the Pooh book. :)

It's actually called Pooh Sticks http://www.just-pooh.com/poohsticks.html Though I can see why you wouldn't immediately think of Winnie the Pooh. I know what you mean about loving watching your own child play well with others. I feel the same way!

Okay, the whole Winnie the Pooh thing makes sense and is a lot less gross. Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, lets not play "poo" sticks, nothing good can come of it.
