Seven Sleepless Nights

What do you do when your friend comes to visit the west for the first time? Well, you take her to Vegas and the Grand Canyon and top it off with a last minute visit to San Diego.  Thanks Blaire for the week of non-stop fun, craziness and anything but sleep.

Driving through the desert, headed for Vegas...

Pit stop at the Hoover Dam... the Dam jokes were a plenty.

An afternoon of shopping at Ceaser's Palace, then a crazy sprint in our high heels to the Cirque du Soleil show La Reve.  This was probably the most amazing show I have ever seen. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Vegas.

Checking out the Wynn afterwards.

Our stamped hands from the dueling piano bar at New York, New York.

We stayed at the Bellagio

We had an awesome view and could watch the water show from our room.

Breakfast the next day at Mon Ami Gabi at Paris, Las Vegas.  Lyndzee's escargo was not bad, but I much preferred my Croque Monsieur.

We arrived at our Grand Canyon camp site late into the night.  We set up camp and made delicious camping tacos, smores and popcorn.

We woke up early the next morning to go see the sunrise and we stumbled upon three huge elk.  It was so awesome and they didn't even flinch as we took pictures.

After packing up camp, we hiked around the grand canyon and drove up to the tower.

Back in the car, headed home.
Driving through Sedona, we stopped at Slide Rock

Next up... picking up the kids and heading for the Pacific...
