Valentine's Week

Rob had a final on Valentine's Day and a mid term on the 15th, so we rescheduled our plans for the afternoon of February 15th. We took the kids to the Science Museum where they had this great water table designed after the Tyne River. Then we all went to Nando's for dinner.

Little did I know, this was not the end of Valentine's Day. On Saturday morning Rob gave me a note right before he left to go study. It explained that the afternoon was mine to do whatever I wanted: sleep, have him clean, take me shopping or just go relax by myself. I chose shopping at H&M. The note also explained that I needed to be ready to go out that night at 8:00pm. He got our good friends Dave and Sarah to come sit with the kids. We took a cab to a delicious Italian restaurant and enjoyed a three course meal. We realized this was the first date we had taken in over 7 months. It was really nice to spend time together doing something nice, without having to worry about the kids.

Looks like you all had a great time! And glad you two were able to get out to spend some time together. We've been there, it's so refreshing to just get a few hours together however rare it might be.

I bet it is a different Nandos. It isn't Mexican food.

Date night is the best! Glad it was a good day. How are you coping with your new surroundings and lack of family around? It sounds like you're doing really well.
