A Little Man With A Lot to Say

Watching Luke grow up has been a highlight of our lives. He is one crazy, busy little boy and is always entertaining us with his personality. Talking has been one of the funniest of his milestones because this kid is a nonstop talker. I guess he has a lot to say and we are happy to listen to him, even when we have no idea what he is saying.

Luke phrases:

"Buzz, Woody, movie?" - Luke's first official obsession is Toy Story. It is the only full length movie that he has seen/sat through and he gets so excited when we see pictures of either of these heros (which happens a lot thanks to the release of Toy Story 3). We are debating taking him to the theatre to see it as we are planning our last few weekends with Rob and before Baby.

During the sacrament at church, Luke happily took a piece of bread. After swallowing he asked (in a very loud voice) "More bread please." After we discussed with him that we only get one piece of bread, but that the water comes next, he asks unceasingly, "Water? Water? Water?"

"More Boom, Boom?" - Luke has an unhealthy obsession with the Black Eyed Peas song Boom Boom Pow. We don't know where this obsession started, but we are not sure how we feel about it. Rob asked him to obsess about a more manly song, but Luke is comfortable with his manhood and is sticking to this pop number.

Other common words and phrases include:
Baby Sisser, Baby Kate or Oakie (his attempt at Oakley)
Happy Day!
Bubble Bath
Kell (in reference to his buddy Kalil)
Daddy work?
Fire Truck, Motorcycle, Dump Truck

He has gotten to the point where he will basically repeat anything we ask him to say. He also repeats random words he hears, so we are watching what we say. This became apparent when Daddy was driving and said "That freaking car won't get out of my way" only to have Luke chime in in a crystal clear voice "Freaking."

But out of all Luke's learned phrases, there is one that tops the rest. In his sweet little voice he says "I Love You". Sometimes this comes out as "I buv meow", but either way, it melts my heart. Below is a video he made for his Grandma who is on a mission to show off his new talent.
