Christmas Eve Bash

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is Christmas Eve with the Neville Family. A clam chowder and ham dinner, served on Spode (of course), followed by the reenacting of the nativity, gifts to Christ, a beautiful musical number and this year, a visit from a very special guest.
After the wonderful dinner, program and games, Santa Claus came walking through the front door. Rob and I were probably just as excited as the children. We were all shocked that Santa was able to come see us on such a busy night. Luke hadn't gotten to sit on Santa's lap yet this year, so he took the opportunity to ask for a dog, but admitted that he would settle for a big yellow dump truck. Unfortunately Uncle Brad stepped out just before Santa arrived and missed the whole thing.
My siblings were missing in action on Christmas so my parents came with us to the Neville bash. We were excited to have them there with us and Luke liked having all four grandparents at his beckon call. On a side note, we are happily accepting the "Favorite Child", "Favorite Son-in-law" and "Favorite Grandchild" awards from Grr and Papa for being the only ones who loved them enough not to abandon them on Christmas.
