As the count down has turned from months, to weeks, and now to days (30 to go), I have been getting so excited. Below is a list that I got off of www.babycenter.com of things that change after a mom has her first baby. They made me even more excited and I have to admit, a little choked up.
2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.
3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.
4. You respect your body ... finally.
5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way.
6. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own.
7. You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.
8. You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago.
9. Your heart breaks much more easily.
10. You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.
11. Every day is a surprise.
12. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Hooray for poop!)
13. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.
14. You become a morning person.
15. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.

All that is so true. Motherhood is quite the journey. It changes you in ways nothing else could. You'll be a great mom. I'm so excited for you. I wish we lived closer so we could raise our youngsters together! Miss you tons! By the way, you look great.
You scared me when I pulled up your blog and saw the baby picture. I was thinking how in trouble Grandma Greer was for not passing on the word that you'd had your baby. Ok, Ok, you got me!!
I love that list. It is so true!! You are about to embark on an amazing journey as a mother. I know you and Rob will be amazing parents!! We can't wait to see that little guy!!
I totally agree with the whole list: I always tell Ellis "good job" when she poops. And I never know when there's something askew with my appearance because I just don't see myself in the mirror (for better or worse). One thing I will take issue with is the morning person comment. For me, it's definitely "morning person by force". Not so happy about that everyday. Eli lets me sleep in once a week and it is so nice! Highly recommend incorporating that!
SO excited for you!
That is sweet! I love your shower invitation, I am deciding if I am going to come, might be hard with 2 kids for me since my c- setion. I will try, but if not good luck!!!
It is fun to see you getting ready for Luke. We are so excited and love you 3 so much. Love, Mom
